Firing On All Cylinders
The last month has been strong for the team with the wins continuing to roll in, the last two days being no exception with the stable scoring two wins from four starters across the Hawkesbury and Warwick Farm meetings. Hawkesbury set the stage for LORD HERON to pick up his second career win in the Livamol Mile, the gelding just holding on in the shadows of the post under the guidance of jockey Tommy Berry. The four year old still has some maturing to do, over racing slightly in the initial stages. Despite this, the son of ALL TOO HARD showed grit to hold off the challengers in the straight leading from the jump to the finish.
At Warwick Farm VALENTINO ROSSA continued his brilliant second-up strike rate in the Tab Rewards Handicap over 1600m. The son of TESTA ROSSA was given a textbook ride from jockey Jason Collett, hugging the rails for the course of the race. Once he found the gap in the straight, the five year old produced a brilliant kick from the 200m to clear the field and hold off the late run of PUMPKIN PIE. The win gave the gelding his fourth career win, with total earnings of $188,025.
